Current 93 at DOX: One Day, Two Unique Concerts

Current 93 will perform two distinct concerts in a single day at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, marking David Tibet’s solo exhibition Hallucinate, Children. Bringing his musical and visual worlds together, the occasion offers a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of Tibet’s imagination through image, word, voice and sound.

Each concert will have its own programme and character, conceived as a complete experience in its own right. Together, they will offer two different encounters with Current 93, whose work has drawn listeners into a world of apocalyptic nursery rhymes, poetry, mysticism, dreams and sonic play for decades. Tibet’s singular vision runs through both performances, but each will follow its own path.

In Hallucinate, Children, that vision takes shape through images, texts and symbols. The concerts give it another life through music and performance, extending the encounter beyond the gallery. For those discovering Tibet’s work and those who have followed it for years, this convergence at DOX offers an unusual chance to explore the connections between his art and the ever-unfolding world of Current 93.
