With a background in power electronics as a member of the influential band Whitehouse, William Bennett embarked on his solo project, Cut Hands, in 2008. The project draws inspiration from African rhythms and percussion, blending them with industrial and noise elements to create a unique and intense sound. Known for their live performances, which often feature multiple drummers and characterised by their hypnotic and primal quality.

Cut Hands has released several albums and EPs, including their critically acclaimed, and now legendary, debut album ‘Afro Noise I’, in 2012.

As a true icon of the British underground, William Bennett’s journey from the power electronics of Whitehouse to the rabid African rhythms of Cut Hands has solidified his reputation as a truly visionary musician.
