Formed in Manchester in 2010, Wode have grown from the raw black metal of their earliest recordings into one of the UK underground’s most distinctive heavy bands; drawing black and death metal together with the weight, melody and immediacy of classic heavy metal.
Across Wode, Servants of the Countercosmos and 2021’s acclaimed Burn in Many Mirrors, the band continually widened their sound without losing its darkness or aggression. Their fourth album, Uncrossing the Keys released through 20 Buck Spin, pushes that evolution further: leaner, more intricate and more melodic, while remaining unmistakably Wode.
