JK Flesh is Justin K Broadrick’s vehicle for heavy, mutant electronic music, a collision of industrial techno, dub, power electronics, soundsystem pressure and the extreme low-end experimentation that has run throughout his work for decades.
The name originated during Broadrick’s 1990s collaborations with Kevin Martin in Techno Animal, before becoming a fully realised solo project with 2012’s Posthuman. Since then, JK Flesh has developed into one of Broadrick’s most prolific and uncompromising outlets, with releases across Hospital Productions, Downwards, Electric Deluxe, Pressure and his own **Avalanche Recordings**, alongside collaborations with artists including Prurient, Orphx, Echologist, G36 and, most recently, former Napalm Death drummer Mick Harris / Monrella.
2026 has seen renewed activity with Shouting the Odds and*Prehuman. Fleshstep, while Broadrick has made clear that JK Flesh remains an active and continuing project…pushing further into distorted rhythm, bass weight, dub space and the darker edges of contemporary electronic music.
